The namesake of our hotel, Bergkristall (English = rock crystal), stands for purity, clarity, harmony and positive energy. As with crystal, we value every person with all their facets. With us, everyone can have angles and edges and be just as they are. We love sincerity. We love authenticity. We love the honest enthusiasm we see in the eyes of our guests.
Natural character
We always remember the treasures nature offers us and stand by our roots. We simply love the honest, robust, and pure character of nature.
The proximity to nature is not only reflected in the view from your hotel room but also in the entire hotel: in the Kristall SPA, in every room, in the Bergkristall Atrium, in our game park and also while dining.

The Lingg Family
Family-oriented Allgäu natives
Hans and Hedi Lingg have stood behind the Bergkristall for over 50 years as the foundation of tradition-conscious hospitality. Our guests still rave about the cakes we bake according to Hedi's family recipes. By the way, Senior director Hedi published her recipes as a baking book in 2015.
Senior director Hans provides entertainment with his humor and enjoys the interesting conversations with the regular guests, especially on the weekly Allgäu evening. He also takes care of feeding the animals in the hotel game park.
Homegrown man & power woman
Hans-Jörg Lingg is not only a hotel manager with a strong character. He is above all a real native of the Allgäu. One whose heart yodels when he and his guests conquer the summit. One who respects and honors the local color with all its regional treasures. Who takes time to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with everyone and opens their eyes to nature in all its beauty.
Sabine Lingg is the heart of the house. A power woman with a deep-rooted and genuine warmth. Her emphasis is on details, on a feel-good atmosphere, on the feeling of spaciousness that the Bergkristall triggers in guests. A passionate hotel manager with drive and sensitivity.
Hotel enthusiasts with a hospitality gene
The sons Sebastian and Johannes have inherited the hospitality gene from their parents and grandparents. Both completed an apprenticeship in the hotel business.
They are currently on the road in other tourism companies but are always in contact with the Bergkristall to help decide the news.
Both intend to join their parents' business in the next few years and support the Bergkristall team.

Working in the Bergkristall means working with team spirit. To be part of a functioning team. Everyone trusts everyone and likes to come to work. No one has to pretend and everyone is perceived as they are. It means having a second home in a heavenly location. And we want you to feel that, dear guests.
Many of our employees have already completed their training with us and have stayed or returned to us.

Deputy director
Regulars know and appreciate him. He is a returning team member, who took a 4-year break from the Bergkristall after 8 years. Now he supports Hans-Jörg and Sabine Lingg.
Service director
Our faithful soul. He did his training in hotel management with us from 2000 to 2003 and then took a 3 year break from the Bergkristall in which he got to know other companies all over the world. Since 2009, Tobias has been our attentive restaurant manager, who always maintains an overview and also carries you off into the world of wines.
Housekeeping
Housekeeping includes the mostly unnoticed activities that guarantee daily beauty and cleanliness throughout the hotel. Janet, our hard-working housekeeper from Peru, makes sure that the rooms are always lovingly and finely decorated. With her open-minded nature she ensures a good mood every day.
Andreas KrohnThe real northern light came to the Allgäu countless years ago and stayed. Our chef is positioned where the love for detail, the passion for simplicity and perfection meet! Andreas is one of a kind is looking for - a real rocker chef! See for yourself.
As they say? "A person cannot become more than an Allgäu person." This is what our reservation management thought when she realized her lifelong dream and "emigrated" from the north to the south. In the meantime there is hardly a summit cross that she has not yet touched and so she likes to give secret tips about the Allgäu mountains when booking.
